Reporting to the General Manager of Western Canada, the working Line Foreman is responsible for supervising, scheduling, coordinating and ensuring the safety and productivity of an underground aerial crew at site who install/assemble components of telecom structures.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Helps coordinate staff and resources on site as guided by the construction manager
  2. Interprets engineering and placing drawings and communicates relevant data with crew
  3. Leads and conducts morning tailboard with entire crew present
  4. Enforces safety compliance, including but not limited to job specific Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe work procedures
  5. Assesses external and environmental factors and determines appropriate work plan
  6. Communicates and takes direction from the Construction Manager or Operations/Project Manager on safety concerns, potential hazards, and other issues
  7. Leads safety action plan in the event of an incident, completes incident reports as required
  8. Responsible for coordination of equipment malfunctions, ensures all safety and environmental compliance procedures are met and documented
  9. Controls site, reports to Construction Manager or Area Manager
  10. Coordinates with Human Resources to report and document all employee relation issues
  11. Understands site and client specific installation practices
  12. Ensures that constructed product meets approved design specifications and drawings, in accordance with project plan
  13. Directs, supervises and assists the crew of Technicians, Journeymen, Operators, and Labourers
  14. Provides coaching, mentoring, and feedback to crew
  15. Completes time entry and capture for the crew
